Queer anachronisms. Robert Glück’s Margery Kempe (1994) | The Book of Margery Kempe (early 15th c)

This informal reading group will explore queer and trans themes in medieval texts—as well as the modern texts that draw inspiration from them. In Michaelmas, we’ll be thinking about how modern writers and artists have reimagined medieval queerness and transness, putting them in dialogue with some of the texts we explored in 2022-2023.

All extremely welcome! To join the mailing list and get texts in advance, or if you have any questions, email rowan.wilson@univ.ox.ac.uk
