OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Henry VIII: A Rehearsed Reading
This rehearsed reading of Shakespeare and Fletcher’s ‘Henry VIII’ is part of a wider collaboration between Dr Laura Jayne Wright and Creation Theatre, and funded by TORCH, which seeks to investigate the lavish (and questionable) representation of history in this rarely-performed play. While next year we hope to return this production to its intended form, with rich Tudor costumes and settings, we are delighted to offer a Zoom reading which captures the essence of this play’s delicious language and vicious politics. For free tickets, see: artsfestivaloxford.org/events/creation-theatre.
