OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

LGBTQ+ History Month Reading Group: Elizabeth Bowen's 'Mysterious Kôr'
In this reading group, which will meet on Friday 2nd, 9th, and 23rd Feb, we’ll mark LGBTQ+ History Month by taking a close look at short stories by Elizabeth Bowen, Richard Siken, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, and Langston Hughes. Topics of conversation might include how moments in LBGTQ+ history are portrayed in fiction; how far queer identity or desire is a matter of interpretation in the chosen stories (and whether this matters), and what makes storytelling queer. This week’s discussion of Elizabeth Bowen’s ‘Mysterious Kôr’ (1945) will be introduced by Julia Dallaway and Julyan Oldham.
All are welcome – no food will be provided, so bring your own lunch! Please contact Julyan Oldham with any questions or for copies of reading material.
