OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

"The Journey to 30 by 30"
Annual Heron-Allen Lecture 2024
This year, Professor Jonathan Baillie will speak on “The Journey to 30 by 30”, charting the journey from today’s biodiversity crisis to the aspiration of 30% of the world’s natural habitats being protected by 2030.
Professor Baillie is a former Director of Conservation Programmes at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), former Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist at the National Geographic Society in Washington DC and he is currently President and Chair of Natural State, which works with local communities, industry, government and conservation leaders to help protect, restore and rewild large landscapes.
