OxTalks is Changing

On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).

There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Reimagining Performance Network – 'Practice Makes' Podcast Launch

The Reimagining Performance Network is launching its podcast! ‘Practice Makes’ stages discussions between leading performance scholars and theatre practitioners – actors, playwrights, directors and more — to crack open the connections between theatre research and performance in practice.
At this launch event, presenters Helen Dallas and Madeleine Saidenberg will introduce the podcast and share a teaser of the first episode, featuring Jess Thom of Touretteshero and Hannah Simpson, author of Samuel Beckett and Disability Performance, discussing relaxed performance, accessibility, and the Touretteshero production of Beckett’s Not I.
A light lunch will be provided. A remote tweet-along event will follow when the episode is released the following day so that those unable to attend in person can be involved.
