OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Dissecting the Genetic contribution to Major Depressive Disorder
Cathryn Lewis is Professor of Genetic Epidemiology & Statistics at King’s College London. She leads the Statistical Genetics Unit in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine. Her academic training is in mathematics and statistics, and she has been involved in genetic studies since her PhD training. Her research aims to identify and characterise genetic variants conferring risk of common, complex disorders, including depression, schizophrenia, stroke and rheumatoid arthritis, with a particular interest in pharmacogenetic studies. She chairs the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium Major Depressive Disorder Working group, and leads the NIHR Maudsley BRC Biomarkers and Genomics theme.
