Tom Evans works for WCS where, among other things, he coordinates the Forest for Life partnership which aims to secure a future for the world’s most intact forests, and to put ecological integrity at the heart of all forest management decisions. He will speak about a high profile recent paper, led by Sean Maxwell (University of Queensland) and Yadvinder Malhi, which challenges climate and forest scientists to account more fully for the climate impact of degrading formerly intact forests
