OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Covalent DNA-protein crosslinks (DPCs) are highly detrimental DNA lesions that interfere with essential chromatin transactions such as replication and transcription. The topic of the seminar will be insights into regulation of DPC repair obtained using novel assays to monitor DPC cleavage in vitro and in human cells.

Julian did his PhD with Stefan Jentsch at the Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Martinsried, Germany followed by postdoctoral research with Simon Boulton at the Francis Crick Institute. In 2017 Julian set up his own lab at LMU Munich where he studies the causes and consequences of covalent DNA-protein crosslinks.
