Exploring Opportunities for Community Resilience in Mumbai’s Dense Urban Settlements

As the financial capital of India, Mumbai has been the centre for trade, development and industry. The densely populated city is always a subject of debate while growing more infrastructure, sometimes at the cost of its ecology. How can a city like Mumbai to adapt to climate change measures? How can communities in the city participate in this shift? We will be hosting Lubaina Rangwala to discuss some of these questions on Tuesday, 20th February. She heads the Urban Development and Resilience vertical at WRI India. Lubaina led the development of a global tool called the Urban Community Resilience Assessment, and continues to address issues of gender, equity, diversity and inclusion in city resilience plans.
