Health & Climate Fora: Climatic Extremes Impacts

In Michaelmas Term 2021 (October 2021) a series of Climate and Health Fora will bring together researchers for discussion under three broad thematic areas:

1. Disease Impacts: 9.30-11am Mon 18th October

2. Healthcare System Impacts: 9-11am Mon 25th October

3. Climatic Extremes Impacts: 9-11am Wed 20th or 27th October

Climatic Extremes Impacts:

Climate extreme events and their predictability;
Flood and drought extremes;
Climate shocks to agriculture and food systems;
Heat extremes;
Migration;
Humanitarian assistance;

These fora will bring together researchers interested in the intersection of climate change and health, identify key areas of strength and future work, and facilitate novel collaborations and strengthening existing ones, especially in preparation for the new Climate and Health Pump-Priming Funding round currently open.
