Friends of the Bodleian Annual Lecture: Samira Ahmed, Art of Persia: viewing modern Iran through its ancient history

The Bodleian Libraries are pleased to invite all members to this year’s Friends of the Bodleian Annual Lecture, delivered by award-winning journalist and broadcaster Samira Ahmed. Drawing on her critically-acclaimed BBC4 television series, the first to be filmed in Iran for 40 years, this talk focuses on Persian art and the Bodleian’s collections.

Richard Ovenden OBE, Bodley’s Librarian, will propose a vote of thanks to the speaker and deliver an address on the Bodleian’s work over the last 12 months.
