OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
2026 Centennial Arctic Expeditions Launch with Dr Cat Burford
OUEC has supported over 250 expeditions across the globe, for almost 100 years since 1927. To commemorate this remarkable milestone, we have launched a series of Arctic expeditions and centennial events over a three-year period, leading up to 2027.
Three expedition teams from Oxford are preparing to conduct fieldwork in Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland in 2026. These expeditions address novel research areas across diverse fields, including glaciology, biology and anthropology, while equipping the next generation of explorers with valuable skills and experience.
