OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
This event will focus on the evolution of ‘All-in-One Apps’ (also known as super apps) and the future trends associated with them. These apps integrate a wide range of services including social networking, financial services, e-commerce, food delivery etc. within a single platform and have significantly transformed our daily engagement with technology and businesses.
The event will be introduced by David Gann, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Development and External Affairs) at the University of Oxford. It will comprise a series of short presentations and a Q&A session chaired by Professor Jocelyn Alexander (Head of Department of International Development, University of Oxford) followed by two panel discussions chaired by Professor Xiaolan Fu (TMCD Director, Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, University of Oxford). Senior industry representatives, and specialists in the field will participate in what promises to be interesting and lively discussion.
