OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

TGLU Talk Series: Using Proteomic Signatures to predict IBD Risk and Early Disease by Olle Grännö from Örebro University Hospital, Sweden
Olle Grännö is a resident in clinical microbiology at Örebro University Hospital, Sweden. He defended his PhD thesis in May 2025, titled “Characterising the Phases of Inflammatory Bowel Disease: From Genetic Predisposition to Established Disease”. Olle is studying the circulating proteome and the gut microbiome in Nordic population-based cohorts, aiming to identify biomarkers capable of: (1) predict a future diagnosis of IBD and (2) forecast the early disease course in newly diagnosed patients. He is currently visiting Prof. Jack Satsangi’s research group at the Translational Gastroenterology and Liver Unit to work on the INTERCEPT project – a multicentre study aiming to explore the possibility of preventing the onset of Crohn’s disease.
