Atlantic Imaging
Abstract:

There is an ever increasing complexity of microscopy techniques, microscope design and mathematical complexity for both low and high resolution microscopy and imaging. When it comes to thinking about running an experiment, a lot of thought needs to be given to microscope choice, and how samples will be prepared and held on the microscope and what the end result of the experiment should be. This brief discussion will cover some of the microscope design options available, things to think about when designing an experiment and how to decide on objective lens selection.

Alan plans to have some microscope stands in the presentation to illustrate the talk, so in-person attendance is preferable.
