OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Frankland Visitor 2023: Jo Baring in conversation with Melanie Gerlis
Jo Baring, a Brasenose College alumna and the Frankland Visitor 2023, will be in conversation with guest speaker, Melanie Gerlis.
Jo Baring is Director of the Ingram Collection of Modern British and Contemporary Art and former Director of Christie’s. She publishes widely on 20th century and contemporary art and is a regular speaker at institutions, art fairs and galleries. Her book ‘Revisiting Modern British Art’ was called a ‘gamechanger’ and most recently she edited the monograph on Royal Academician Hughie O’Donoghue.
Melanie Gerlis is Art market columnist at the Financial Times, Editor at large at The Art Newspaper, and author of “Art as an investment?” (2014) and “The Art Fair Story” (2021).
