OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The discovery of Paxlovid- the journey of the Pfizer SARS2-Covid 19 drug
Dr Dafydd Owen, Senior Director Medicinal Chemistry, Pfizer, Cambridge Massachusetts will talk about: “The discovery of Paxlovid- the journey of the Pfizer SARS2-Covid 19 drug. ”
Dr Owen was the team leader at Pfizer to develop the oral inhibitor Paxlovid, targeting the SARS2-Covid 19 protease. This discovery was one of the milestones to mitigate the recent COVID19 pandemic.
