OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Town Hall Meeting - Oxford University and Springer Nature deal
Jisc and UK institutions are in negotiation with Springer Nature to reach a sustainable read and publish agreement for the Springer, Nature, Nature Research journals and Palgrave journals.
Please join Amy Warner May, Associate Director of Scholarly Resources and Professor Patrick Grant, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, for an online meeting to discuss the future of this important publishing deal. The journals are heavily read in Oxford, and the new deal will be critical to making our research as accessible as possible across Springer Nature journals.
This event will be an opportunity both to discuss and find out more about the status of the negotiations and the outcome scenarios being explored by the sector. Background information on the negotiations can be found here: openaccess.ox.ac.uk/springer-nature-oxford
