OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk

Join us for a conversation on the role of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) in the global struggle for Palestinian liberation.
The event will begin with an introduction to BDS as a global movement, followed by a discussion of its significance within academic institutions. We will then turn to a critical reflection on the role of BDS at Oxford—both at the University and City Council levels.
The conversation will feature Professor John Chalcraft and BDS co-founder Omar Barghouti (joining remotely), alongside local BDS organisers from groups such as the Oxford BDS Coalition and the Oxford Staff BDS group.
We will also introduce the recently launched staff pledge urging the University to support BDS, and explore the responsibilities of academic institutions within broader movements for freedom and dignity. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about the pledge and how to get involved.
