Complete Surrender is a short documentary film that explores love and why five artists have turned to two female medieval mystics, Marguerite Porete and Hadewijch, finding in them kindred voices that help them express contemporary concerns, particularly around the issue of love. The film follows famous five artists: Anne-Mie Van Kerkhoven, an installation artists, Wim Henderickx, a compose, Aline Kiner, an author, An Pierlé, a pianist/singer-song writer, and Henrik Vanden Abeele, a classically trained pianist, singer and leader of the vocal ensemble Psallentes, as they recount their engagement with these mystics on love and desire.
The film lasts just under 30 mins and will be followed by a wine reception.
