OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The Hard Way: The Story of Hannah Mitchell
Composer and singer Louise Jordan performs ‘The Hard Way’, a one-woman show telling the story of Hannah Mitchell. Born in 1872 into rural poverty in the Derbyshire Peak District, Hannah Mitchell escapes domestic drudgery to become a campaigner, speaker, writer, suffragette, councillor and finally a Manchester City magistrate.
