OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Variants: a conference
OCTET (Oxford Centre for Textural Editing and Theory) is holding its latest half-day conference on Thursday of 0th week (16 January 2020). We have a distinguished panel of speakers who are addressing the question of variants as it features in literatures of different periods and in editions of different kinds. Our visitor this time is Penny Fielding from Edinburgh, an eminent editor of Scott and Stevenson. All are very welcome.
Details are also available on our website: octet.web.ox.ac.uk/variants-one-day-conference
If you would like to come, please let us know so we can get the right number of biscuits, and make any access arrangements. Please RSVP to octet@ell.ox.ac.uk and please mention in your email if you would like to subscribe to our new OCTET mailing list.
