OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Workshop: How to write for The Conversation
Led by editors from The Conversation, this longer interactive session will tackle the following questions: What can I write about? How to come up with an idea for an article, how and when to pitch your stories, how you work with an editor, what might happen after you publish, engaging with the public via comments and social media, pushing your piece out to a broad audience, why The Conversation is different from other media outlets, will you then write for other people?
