OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
This is the second event of a series of policy engagement events aimed at researchers at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, in collaboration with the Oxford Policy Engagement Network. This event is aimed at closing the gap between the scientific community, with a focus on Engineering, and policymakers, by better equipping researchers with the awareness, knowledge and tools to engage in research-backed policymaking.
Join Mark Henstridge, CEO of Oxford Policy Management, who will talk about his experience as an Economist in government in Uganda, at the IMF, and as Programme Director of two academic research programmes on how top-flight research can engage with, and have an impact on, public policy.
