Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Fiction and policy might not be the most obvious connection, but Kim Stanley Robinson’s novel Ministry of the Future is globally known as a rallying call for government, business and civil society leaders to pay greater attention to climate change, sustainability and other challenges with long-term consequences.
Join Dr Aaron Maniam and Professor Tom Hale in a conversation with Kim Stanley Robinson as they explore his creative approaches and how he engages policymakers to create a world better led, served and governed. The session will kick off Professor Hale and Dr Maniam’s new Applied Policy Module on “Managing Tomorrow Today”, which explores similar issues as Kim Stanley Robinson’s work.
Please note that this event is exclusively for University of Oxford members and is held in person only. Please register using your univeristy email address and show your Univesity card on arrival.
