Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Professor Dr. Cornelia van Duijn is a professor of Genetic Epidemiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center and Translational Epidemiology at the University of Leiden. For over 25 years, her work has focused on discovering genes involved in age related disorders including Alzheimer disease, glaucoma, dyslipidemia and hypertension.
She has been a leading figure in various international genome wide association consortia including the International Genetics of Alzheimer Disease Project (IGAP) and the ADSP (Alzheimer Disease Sequencing Project). At present, she combines genomics research with high-throughput metabolomics in large scale epidemiological biobanks and organ-on-chip models to translate finding to prevention and care.
