IFN I and IL-10 drive T-cell exhaustion during experimental liver fibrosis
Persistence of viral infection in murine models of liver fibrosis is associated with a severely impaired antiviral T-cell response. Experiments using transgenic mice and specific blockade of cytokine receptors revealed that IFN I and IL-10 are the main drivers of T-cell exhaustion during chronic liver disease.
