On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

In this webinar, Funda Ustek-Spilda and Srujana Katta will talk about the Fairwork Project, an action-research project at the Oxford Internet Institute.
At Fairwork, we research working conditions in the platform economy, in order to develop ‘fairness ratings’ for digital labour platforms like Uber and Deliveroo. We use these ratings as a lever to improve pay and conditions for platform workers. We also conduct research more broadly on platform work; we will also introduce our ongoing Covid-19 research, for which we have reviewed how more than 200 platforms in 40+ countries are protecting their workers and consumers during the pandemic. Join the webinar to find out more about the Fairwork project’s aims, methods and research.
