Guyana in Transformation: The Theory of Change and Priorities
This event is for University members only.
The Blavatnik School of Government is hosting HE President Irfaan Ali of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana for and interactive case study discussion during his forthcoming visit to the UK.

Guyana is a country on the cusp of a major transformation — from one of the lowest per-capita GDPs in Latin America and the Caribbean to one of the world’s richest nations on a per-capita basis, all within a decade. Exxon has discovered one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world just off the coast of Guyana, and this still-young democracy is actively pursuing sustainable management practices of all that wealth with the interests of its people and the planet at the fore.

Professor Karthik Ramanna, together with former President Ivan Duque of Colombia, will moderate the interactive case study discussion with President Ali during his visit to the School.
