Effecting behaviour change in older adults through smartphone technology
The first step to behaviour as a therapy is measurement. Sensors allow novel ways of measuring and representing behaviours to objectively describe and quantify complex diseases. Can the smartphone become the right tool for monitoring age-related disorders in older adults? In this talk, Alessandro will explore the role of smartphones in extracting novel metrics developed to understand behaviour beyond step count in older adults, and the barriers and challenges for this technology in this population.
