Transitional Leadership Insights from Iraq: Dr. Bakhtiar Amin, Minister of Human Rights and Alternate Member of the Governing Council in the first post-Saddam government, formerly Chairperson of the Foundation for the Future promoting civil society and democracy across the Middle East; Director of Human Rights Alliance in Washington DC; Secretary-General of Paris Kurdish Institute, Refugee Councilor in Sweden; Executive Director of the International Alliance of Justice, a network of 275 international non-governmental organizations from more than 120 countries, which called for the establishment of an international ad hoc tribunal to try the former Iraqi leadership’s crimes against humanity.
