OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
OUCAGS Forum: Survive and Thrive - nonsense or necessity
Dr Sara McDouall works as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and is currently HEE-TV’s higher specialty Training Programme Director for Anaesthetics. She has been instrumental in establishing the Professional Support and Wellbeing Service Survive and Thrive programme. This programme recognises the pressures that doctors face in the NHS and aims to help trainees to work differently through more helpful ways of thinking and coping in challenging situations, systems and interactions with others, whilst maintaining still compassion and career enjoyment.
