Edward King: A Man for All Seasons
Once described as the most saintly of men, and the most human of saints, Bishop Edward King (1829- 1910) could be aptly described as ‘a man for all seasons’, with a message that addresses the very nature of what it is to be truly human in any age. His teaching was needed both in his and in our own, each of which is plagued by dehumanising forces. This biography of Edward King is not merely about the church and her bishops. It seeks to reveal a human being who is fully alive , and who invites us to explore an enriched humanity with that same fulness of life and compassion, exemplified supremely in the person of Jesus the Christ of God.
