E.E. Cummings as a Poet of the Great War: Love, Sex, Brutality, and ‘the Beauty of Living’
Alison will be talking a little bit about The Beauty of Living and reading extracts from her book, which brings to life the young man that Cummings was, his love for Marie Louise Lallemand, and the way that his poetry—in its tenderness and its brutal honesty—reflects his wartime experience.
