OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

In a time of relentless geopolitical and technological contestation, is cyberspace doomed to division and fragmentation?
Join Commissioner for Cybersecurity and Chief Executive of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore David Koh as he provides Singapore’s perspective on the impact of current geopolitical trends on the cyber and digital landscape, whether technological bifurcation is inevitable, and what steps countries should take to create an ICT environment that is open, secure, and interoperable.
David Koh is Singapore’s first Commissioner of Cybersecurity and the founding Chief Executive of the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore. He is concurrently Chief (Digital Security & Technology) at the Ministry of Communications and Information.
As Commissioner, he has the legal authority to investigate cyber threats and incidents to ensure that essential services are not disrupted in the event of a cyber-attack. As Chief Executive of CSA, he leads Singapore’s efforts to provide dedicated and centralised oversight of national cyber security functions. Concurrently, as Chief (Digital Security & Technology), he oversees digital security policy and technology capability development in the Ministry of Communications and Information.
The event is in-person only at the School and will be moderated by Professor of Practice Ciaran Martin.
