OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

About the OCTF Conservation & Development Brown-bag Lunch Series:
This series will promote an informal space for dialogue, cross-fertilisation and interdisciplinary discussion amongst OCTF members and others working on conservation and development issues in and around Oxford. The series will cover a wide-range of topics with a focus on the challenges and solutions to balancing conservation & development objectives. We expect topics to include environmental policy, forest governance, applied ecology, deforestation drivers & the private sector, local peoples’ rights, and beyond. We encourage participation of social and natural scientists as well as practitioners, students, and curious minds. Meetings will start with a short presentation (10-20 minutes) followed by plenty of time for discussion and debate. On weeks where there is no presenter, we will circulate a journal article to discuss as a group.
