OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Prof. Fredrik Karpe: Can lower body fat can be beneficial for cardiovascular health?
The Sherrington Society are delighted to welcome Prof. Fredrik Karpe who will be speaking on whether lower body fat can be beneficial for cardiovascular health.
Fredrik Karpe is a consultant Physician and Professor at Oxford University. He is the head of the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. His research focuses on human adipose (fat) tissue function and the effect of obesity on metabolism. He has considerable media experience including broadcast interviews for BBC and ITV.
The talk will take place in the Magdalen Summer Common Room from 6-7pm Thursday, 21st November (6th week) with a drinks reception beforehand at 5:45pm.
