The Politics of Remembering the History of Race and the University
This panel event is a reflection by four speakers on their own experiences of writing, researching and teaching the subject of race in universities, including at Oxford, while also drawing on knowledge and experience from a range of institutions. Bringing together a distinguished panel of activists, academics and historians in the community, our speakers will reflect on the challenges and opportunities involved in grappling with institutional histories, and what is at stake.
The event will include a performance by the Unlock the Chains Collective’s Euton Daley and Amantha Edmead.
Tickets are available for in person attendance.
This event will also be live-streamed on the TORCH YouTube page: youtu.be/Ni-1L1Va9VY
