Seminar by Madelon de Jong "A stromal cell-neutrophil axis promotes tumor supportive bone marrow inflammation that persists after treatment in Multiple Myeloma"
Madelon attended medical school and additionally obtained a master’s degree in ‘Infection and Immunity’, both at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
She remained in the same institute to pursue a PhD with Tom Cupedo studying bone marrow inflammation in Multiple Myeloma, and is currently in her final year.
Her research focusses on the mesenchymal stromal cell as a central orchestrator of a pro-tumor microenvironment that affects myeloma disease progression and therapy response.
