OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Introduction to Science Careers Outside the Lab
Are you a scientist who is thinking about moving on from laboratory research, but keen to retain some science in your role? Then this session is for you!
There are many opportunities to use your expertise in science outside of laboratory roles, for example in science policy and administration, in patent law, or in science communication, journalism and publishing to name a few. This session offers an overview of the basics: the main options available, how to explore them and gain relevant experience, and how to go about making the transition.
As always, there will be time to ask questions at the end.
