British Indians Celebrating International Women's Day
Co-organised by researchers from the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (DPAG) and the Department of Psychiatry
Join the 1928 Institute’s IWD panel discussing challenging leadership to achieve gender equality: past, present, and future.

The 1928 Institute is the only pluralistic think-tank researching and representing British Indians, and a platform for discourse and debate on Indian affairs – run by academics from the University of Oxford.

This International Women’s Day, we will be hosting our first event. Our illustrious panel of speakers will talk about Indian women that have shaped history, their own experiences challenging leadership, and thoughts on how we can continue to strive for a more equal future.

Speakers include Baroness Sandip Verma (Chair of UN Women, UK), Gopichand Hinduja (Businessman and co-chair of the Hinduja Group), Shay Grewal (award-winning radio presenter, BBC Radio), Shalina Patel (award-winning history teacher and founder of TheHistoryCorridor), Kiran Kaur Manku (co-founder of the 1928 Institute and academic at the University of Oxford), and our moderator, Dr Nikita Ved (co-founder of the 1928 Institute and academic at the University of Oxford).

This promises to be an exciting and thought-provoking event. Our event will also include a Q&A with the audience. Spaces are limited, so please book to avoid disappointment! www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/british-indians-celebrating-international-womens-day-tickets-143413081387
