AC Grayling: Political Authority and Ideal Democracy

What does an ideal democracy look like? Is it an unachievable utopia? In this talk, AC Grayling explores the sources of political authority and the concept of an ideal democracy.

AC Grayling is a philosopher, humanist and public intellectual. He was a professor at Birkback until 2011, when he became the first master of the New College of the Humanities. He regularly appears on BBC Radio and used to write the ‘Last Word’ column for the Guardian newspaper and a column for the Times.

Anthony has published a number of books over the years. His latest are the The God Argument (2013), Friendship (2013), The Challenge of Things (2015), The Age of Genius (2016) and War (2017).
