OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The Early Career Researchers (ECRs) are taking over the first departmental seminar of Michaelmas Term on Monday 21st October at 2pm in NRH seminar rooms. Moderated by Dr Mira Dumbalska and Professor Matthew Rushworth, this series of 15-min fire talks will enable ECRs from different research areas to present their research and answer questions. This year’s talks include: * Omid Ebrahimi, Career Development Research Fellow in Clinical Psychology, Mapping Out the Evolution of Common Mental Disorders: A Dynamical Systems Approach * Tsvetomira Dumbalska, Postdoc in Human Information Processing research group, What drives the reference dependence of human behaviour? Investigating the influence of perception, judgment and action * Mengxin Wang, Postdoc in Perception research group, Information Integration in Early Visual Processing Revealed by Vernier Thresholds * Sammi Chekroud, Postdoc in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience research group, What can EEG tuning curves tell us about visual attention?
The seminar will be run as a hybrid event with an in-person audience at the Seminar Room in New Radcliffe House while virtual attendance via Zoom will also be facilitated (see details below) however, the talks will not be recorded on this occasion.
