The Vincent Strudwick Lecture 2017 will be given by Professor Linda Woodhead of Lancaster University, who will speak on The Religion of No Religion: Are the ‘Nones’ Religious, Spiritual or Neither?

Based mainly on research in the UK and USA, but looking at other parts of the world (like China) as well, this talk will consider the growing number of those who, when asked on a survey what their religion is, say: ‘None’ or ‘No Religion’. It will profile the ‘nones’, offer an explanation for their growing number, and discuss some wider implications of this cultural change.
