Understanding (im)mobility, health and wellbeing and the potential for participatory mobilities planning in Brazil and the UK
https://www.ageing.ox.ac.uk/events/view/464
Ben will provide an introduction to the theoretical framing of the HUM project using Staging Mobilities (Jensen 2013) and outline the range of collaborative methods used, including health and mobility biographies, mobile methods (go-alongs) and community engagement. He will then describe the approach and findings based on the Barton neighbourhood situated at the periphery of Oxford. Julio will then turn to the case of Porto Allegre and a comparison of how the HUM research unfolded there before we discuss the implications for the contribution of mobility to healthy ageing across the lifecourse.
