OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Thomas Harriot Lecture 2017
The title of Professor Horton’s lecture will be “Thomas Harriot, the world’s first ethnographer?”. The lecture will be followed by drinks in the Champneys Room at 6 pm. All welcome.
Professor Horton works in global historical archaeology and since 2009 has been leading excavations at the site where Harriot landed in North Carolina in 1585.
