The Culture of War - How does war influence a nation’s popular and political cultures?
Since 1999, Pembroke College has been hosting a visiting scholar each year as part of the Fulbright programme. This Trinity Term we are delighted to welcome Fulbright Visiting Fellow Gregory A. Daddis, Professor of History and USS Midway Chair in Modern U.S. Military History.

The Fulbright Seminar Series for 2023 will be on the topic of War and Society. On Tuesday 2 May at 5pm, Professor Daddis will be joined by Susan L. Carruthers, Professor of U.S./International History at the University of Warwick to discuss: ‘How does war influence a nation’s popular and political cultures?’

The event starts at 5pm on Tuesday 2 May in the Harold Lee Room, which is fully wheelchair accessible.
