Open Forum 2025: A Solidarity of the Shaken - From Despair to Collective Action
In times of overlapping crises – economic instability, funding cuts, political uncertainty, and health emergencies – many in the global health space are navigating both professional and personal precarity. For some, solidarity has not been optional, but essential to survival. Yet acting in solidarity is rarely straightforward. It demands courage, creativity, and often resistance against existing systems of power.

This forum is part of a broader effort to move beyond solidarity rhetoric – to understand solidarity not just as a concept, but as a lived practice. In this forum, we will focus on understanding how solidarity can be a proactive response to feelings of helplessness.

Objectives of the Forum
Titled “A Solidarity of the Shaken: From Despair to Collective Action”, the forum will advance two objectives:
 Share grounded insights and practices on how solidarity can drive meaningful change in global health
 Celebrate and energise our shared commitment to transforming common vulnerabilities into collective strength through solidarity
