Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Industry Meets Academia Day 2025 (IMAD2025) is an initiative bt the ZERO Institute ECR Network to bridge the gap between academia and industry by helping researchers better understand industrial priorities, while offering companies fresh perspectives on research-driven solutions to real-world challenges. Topics will include solar, nuclear, wind and hydropower, battery technologies, metal recycling, and relevant policy and regulation.
The programme includes presentations by academic and industry fellows, poster sessions over lunch, lightning talks, and a panel Q&A to encourage open dialogue and collaboration.
Speakers include experts from the UK National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL), Energenics Europe Ltd, Oxford Instruments Andor, the Department of Materials (University of Oxford), and the Department of Engineering Science (University of Oxford).
