Departmental Seminar: Realising the mass public benefit of psychological therapies: the 12 years of the IAPT programme (online via zoom)
From small beginnings in 2008 the improving access to psychological therapies IAPT) programme is now established in all English CCGs around 600,000 patients per year have a course of treatment. For 99% of individuals Outcome data is collected and publicly reported. This talk focuses on the economic and clinical arguments behind the establishment of the programme on what has been learned from the outcome data, adaptations in the face of COVID-19 and plans for the future expansion of IAPT.
